Massage Therapy

Deep Tissue Massage

A registered massage therapist specializes in the assessment and treatment of soft tissues in the body (these include muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints and connective tissues).

Massage therapy treatments include a comprehensive assessment for injuries to determine the focus of treatment. Whether your needs are relaxation, stress relief, injury rehabilitation or to optimize circulation, Christine will work mindfully with you to help achieve your goals.

Treatments use a variety of hands on techniques that can be done either directly on the skin using lotion, or over top of your clothing.

Focused treatments include (at your request):

• TMJ (for jaw pain and headaches related to grinding teeth or clenching)
• Specific muscle injury
• Abdominal massage
• Scar treatment
• General wellness/relaxation
• Allergy relief
• Plantar faciitis
• Tech neck (yes, it’s a thing!)

** if you do not see your ailment on this list, just ask. Chances are Christine can help, or at least research a way to try.

Thai Massage

Thai Massage is a comprehensive, full body treatment that works on a physical, energetic and emotional level. Directing attention to the body’s energetic pathways through movement and mindful massage, blockages are free to release, restoring the flow of energy, and thus liberating your innate ability to heal.

Thai Massage allows you to connect on a level that goes beyond the skin. In this flowing movement practice, awareness is passed between giver and receiver, resulting in a therapeutic experience of full body relaxation. Thai bodywork incorporates movement and stretch which has the capacity to deliver greater pranic flow through the muscles and joints of the body, inspiring deeper, long lasting effects.

Thai Massage differs from other forms of massage in that it is done on the floor, fully clothed.

Curious about which style is right for you today?

Thai massage is great for chronic low back pain. All other physical injuries are better suited for regular massage therapy.

Thai massage is great for inactive bodies and active minds. It is an effective way to energize a sluggish system, calm an agitated mind and begin the process of repair to stressed immune cells.
