Eliminate pain at the source | Massage therapy for back pain
Struggling with back pain that won’t go away? I provide targeted massage therapy for back pain relief in Ottawa that focuses on eliminating pain at the source—not just managing symptoms. I assess and address posture, tension, and injury to treat both chronic and acute back pain effectively.
Back pain relief shouldn’t be temporary. If you’ve tried treatments that only mask the symptoms, it’s time for a more targeted approach that addresses the root cause of your pain.
Targeted Back Pain Treatment & Assessment
The first step is the assessment to locate the source of your pain. The treatment flow is as follows:
- Detailed assessment of your posture, habits, and what affects your pain—the assessment includes your first hands-on treatment of the relevant areas
- The Rehab Treatment Plan is the next appointment, ideally within 7-10 days of the assessment. After learning how your body responded to the previous treatment I will prescribe 1or 2 targeted exercises that will support you between sessions (hands on treatment is also a part of this appointment)
- On your third visit, you should be feeling some positive gains. I will observe you doing your exercises and make corrections where necessary
- We will check-in constantly on whether or not it is time to space appointments further apart and let the exercises take over
Why Clients Choose My Back Pain Treatment
Many people come to me because they have tried everything else—most treatments offer relief, but not resolution.
I didn’t get here through textbooks alone, I got here by questioning everything, studying structure like a designer, and dissecting (literally), human complexity. From my yoga mat to the anatomy lab, I’ve spent decades mapping how pain, posture and emotion intersect.
My clients get better because the assessment process helps them to understand why the pain is there and what actions are contributing to it. The first step is understanding, then eliminating and finally targeting the issue.
Sooner than you think! Most of my clients are experiencing relief within the first two treatments—but this is just the start. Long-lasting results come from consistent treatment and supportive exercises you do at home. I will educate you on all of that.
There are many factors that play into this. The first is to consider how long you have been in pain. The more time your back pain has had to settle into your body, the longer it will take to recover—but you will feel improvement quickly—it’s important to stay the course for lasting change. The average is four treatments before a client is moved toward a maintenance plan. This means appointments that are closer together at first, and then to avoid relapse, more spread out over time.
Less than 10 minutes/day. Your success is dependant upon the exercises—I tailor them to your fitness level and only give you what is necessary to address the imbalances that have contributed to your back pain. I will monitor and check-in on your execution of them regularly and make adjustments as necessary. You will never be left to wonder if you are doing them correctly.
The exercises are so effective at eliminating your back pain, you will be tempted to stop doing them—I recommend you make them a part of your life for a while. You won’t need them everyday, but maintaining consistency will make flare-ups less severe and less frequent. The best part is if you have a set-back, you also have the tools to manage it, and your body will respond efficiently.
